Great for SCSI Drive Data Retrieval
I used the SCSI Controller Card to retrieve data off of some old SCSI drives from 1989. The card was installed in a computer running Windows 2000 and it was instantly recognized without the need to install any drivers. Luckily I still had the original SCSI cable and I was able to connect the drives to the 50-pin 8-bit Internal SCSI Connector on the card. I was able to retrieve the data on the drives (a whopping 4GB!) and then securely erase the drives using CCleaner. If you have some old SCSI drives laying around and a computer with some PCI slots running Windows 2000, then this is the solution for you!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Adaptec Works Well !!!
This adapter I bought for my old scanner so I could still use it. If you need to hook up old working machines to a computer under SCSI connection then Adaptec is the only old hardware to do it with. You don't need drivers because it has its own on chip bios for easy installation. One of the few companies ever to do that in the old days.
