Main reason I purchased was to see how well it re-hydrated Harmony House dehydrated veg combined with carbs and a protein. It works well and I must say is very forgiving when gauging water levels. Of course don't under fill water levels. You get some water from the steam vent as your meal re-hydrates and expands. I like it! It's well made. This could easily cost two or three times as much from a competitor.

Expensive but for camping it works!
This is a great device if you enjoy eating rice and is a stable in your meals. It cooks the rice really fast. The best part is does it without fail. Once you figure out the amount of rice and water just let it boil and 15 minutes later it is done. No more guess work, no lowering the heat, no hard uncooked rice gains it is just done.
