Slight problem but still works well.
My only complaint is the USB connection, when I plug it all the way in it doesn't work. However, I found that if you pull the the USB out of the connection slightly it works just fine. Tested it on several USB ports, some had that issue some didn't. You'll know if it's working correctly if the Red and Blue lights turn on. Other devices may or may not experience this same problem, I only got one so I have no way of testing. Once I got it working it did exactly what it was supposed to do without fail, it read my 2.5 mm hard drive through the USB port on my computer. Had it hooked up for 16 hours straight wiping the drive of data without issue.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Super fast data transfer!
Item works well! Provides usb 3.0 speeds! for a hard drive being connected through usb, it is really fast, and almost as fast as being connected through sata to the motherboard. Would recommend for transferring data from an old computer to a new one super fast, or transferring data from a non working pc. Best value for the price! Would buy again.

Quick and easy way to add another drive. Very portable.

Great Adapter for SSD's
This adapter is exactly what I ordered and worked very well with my SSD. I was hoping it would also work with an older SATA HDD I was going to use as a backup storage drive, but didn't work for me I think because my usb ports don't supply enough power for the older drive. not compatible with newer sys.and older printer
Running on a dell OptiPlex 5070 to a Kyocera printer it was very erratic, could not depend on it, very unreliable and i took a big hit on the sale of the dell because we could not get the printer to work.
