exactly the correct remote
lost my old remote, searched using the stereo model number, remote was the exact same as the one i lost . i didnt realize how worn out my old remote was until i got the new one, for 10 dollars i should have replaced it a long time ago, i forgot what some of the buttons did because the printing had worn off . Excellent Value !

This remote is easy to use by touch. It's large enough that I don't keep accidentally hitting the wrong button by mistake and small enough to fit in my center console or the space in the dash beneath my radio. I bought two as I sometimes drop my remote between the seat and can't retrieve it while driving. This device is said to work with most Kenwood audio system. It definitely works with my Kenwood Excelon DPX792BH. It does not have to be pre-programmed. It works right out of the package.

Music to My Ears
My old remote quit working after many years, and I wasn't sure I could get another one. I decided to try eBay, and much to my surprise, they had a wide variety of older-model remotes! You NEED This
The buttons on the in-dash unit are so small, especially while driving. The remote makes operation of the unit much easier. Kenwood also has a remote control app that you can install on a cell phone. I will also be looking into that.

Excellent Remote
This item has already been a blessing to me. There's no more taking my eyes off the road to adjust the radio settings or changing from the CD to the Bluetooth. My wife loves it to because it keeps my eyes where they're supposed to be while driving. Great product, VERY glad I bought it.

Good remote
Works fine with my Kenwood KMM-BT518HD digital media head unit. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is due to the buttons being pretty small....and I don't have big hands. But!...I rather have this remote versus the smartphone app. The Kenwood smartphone app for Android does not work well.

Very small will fit anywhere in the car
Having purchased it I had to ask why I needed it?. Why its needed?. If a person has a trunk amp this would probably come in pretty handy to gain the right adjustments. For me?. I just push the buttons on the radio. Maybe I am missing something?.

Easy to program
After I read the directions several times, it took less than two minutes to program the remote. It took fifteen minutes to get the ladder set up to climb up to the unit. The remote works well and has more than adequate range.

No app required
I installed a new Kenwood in my car. The steering wheel controls (swc) were supposed to work but did not. So Kenwood recommends an Android App to be able to change the volume and change channels. Yeah, no. This little IR remote is perfect for the simple but essential tasks of controlling the unit. No app, no BT, no pairing or login. It just works. Thanks guys!
