Batteries last only a month
Bought 12 of these in total and mounted them high on the walls in our store. We put 2 new Duracell alkaline batteries in each thinking that with only one small flashing LED we would get at least 6 months life out of the batteries. Much to our dismay, some of them went dead in less than a month, others in 6 weeks. Took them all back down again and measured the current draw of the LEDs which was not only VERY HIGH but varied from one to the next at anywhere between 18 and 30 mlliamps. The cost of operating these fake cameras is just ridiculous. When you figure 24 batteries each per year plus paying an employee to go up on a ladder once a month to each camera, it's cheaper to buy the real ones rather than these.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Added Safety!
These arrived fine and worked well. There is a balance issue if you just want to set them on a ledge and not mount them. I fixed that by mounting them on a small square board which was heavy enough to us them on a ledge, window sill, etc. I used a little matching silver paint on the wood square and it all looks like the same unit. these look real as long as you put them up high I mean you would have to get up to 5ft away to even wonder If they were the real thing or not and at that it would be a guess. the only reason I gave four star rating is because the battery insert is a little cheep made but if your careful it does the job. I actually dropped one from about 8ft high and it didn't break. I have them mounted up about 10ft high on all 4 sides of my out building they do look intimidating the red light that blinks 24/7 is visible from at least 300ft cant beat them for the money. I have good quality batteries in them they been blinking for at least a week and the temps at night have reached down to close to 0 for the last 4 nights...update...after about a month I had to replace batteries in 2 of them but again the temps were like 10 to 20 degrees at night so it may and I'm sure it had something to do with battery life.. Not great, but not bad.
About what you would expect for under $20. From 10' they look real enough. They come with everything needed to mount. Just add batteries and you are on your way. Only complaint would be with the "tube" style camera. They are not entirely adjustable so the camera will be titled one way or the other side to side depending on what angle you have it pointing. Great addition to existing system
We have 16 working cameras in place at our store. We wanted to add to the appearance of them, but limit the expense. These cameras closely match the look of the existing. They were super easy to mount with 3 screws into drywall. We chose not to put batteries in the cameras, as they are not necessary. Over A Year and Batteries Still Fully Charged!
I purchased several of these a little over a year ago and mounted them high on my house. As you can see in the photo showing the red light lit up, the solar cell is doing a great job of keeping the rechargeable batteries fully charged. I used my hot glue gun to add a short piece of a plastic straw to make them look wireless. I also used a wire-tie to make sure the top wouldn't get blown off during high winds.

Not completely as described . . .
The "Light Sensor" that is mentioned in the Item Description is supposed to turn off the Blinking Red Light in the daytime to conserve the 2 AA Alkaline batteries and give you 3 to 5 months battery duration. The Light Sensors were also "Fake" in all of the set of 6 Fake Lights that I received. I suspect the battery live is going to be 1/2 of advertised duration.
