It works well with my existing memory (SK Hynix DDR3L-1600 CL11-11-13) on my Dell laptop and forms a double channel. The memory writing/reading/copying speed is doubled compared to before when my computer only has 1 ram installed. The item itself is brand new as the original package has not been opened when I received it.

Makes and older system run faster
