I like that it is small, and it has a good battery life. I use it many hours a day, and it is easy for me to type on. The downside is that it is not a smartphone, and I miss some of the features I could have with one. Sometimes it is finicky to charge - it repeats the tone / message that it is charging multiple times. Great phone for the cost.

We got this for my daughter, pre-smart phone. The slide out keyboard works well for texting. It can take pictures and record audio (though the quality isn't great) and do all the things a basic phone will do. She says it has difficulty receiving pictures, but we're not sure if that's the phone or our carrier. It's been dropped many times and never has a problem, and it's not even in a case. It's a great option for someone who doesn't want the whole smart phone package.

I've had this phone for years. I bought one recently for my boyfriend. When you only need basic phone service (unlimited talk & text is what I have) this is the best phone for the job. It's a tank in that I have dropped it SO many times - on cement, asphalt, and tile - and it just keeps keepin' on. The screen is small but not wimpy. After all the abuse I have heaped on it, it doesn't even have a scratch on it. Even took a swim and after a night in a bag of rice, worked fine. I like the small size because it fits in the front pocket of my jeans and I don't even know it's there. The keyboard makes sending texts fast and easy. The only "con" about this phone might be the ring tones. I just use the old fashioned telephone ring, but if you want clever ring tones you'll have to download some. Caveat: I am not a "smart phone" person. I'm not one of those people who walk around with a phone in the their face, I don't take pictures (though you can with this phone) of my meals or every friendly encounter I have, I don't need GPS, or internet access when I'm away from home. I just need a PHONE that does what PHONES are supposed to do, make & receive calls (or texts). If you are just looking for a pure PHONE with basic service, this is a GREAT phone. Read full review

I only use cell phone for emergency calls and texting. This phone fits those needs nicely. Love the little querty board for texting away. I purchased this to replace my previous LG Cosmos that I had for over 4 years. My previous phone was a pay as you go plan but I guess Verizon no longer offers that type of service. I had to sign on for $30 per month plan, which is still cheaper than a regular Iphone.

Got this phone as a replacement for my 83 year old mother who was concerned about trying to use a smartphone. Does not need or want a data package and this was the phone she has been using for many years. The battery only lasted a week and had to be replaced. It was easier to buy a replacement battery then to send the phone back and get another one that might do the same thing. She is happy with the phone - and with a new battery should be good to last for many years.

I was looking for a small phone with a slide-out keyboard which I could text as well as use as a basic mobile phone, and this phone does the job nicely. The keyboard is nice and compact and responsive, and the has all the features one basically needs in a cell phone: Phone calling, texting etc., but one can also voice message, take and send photographs, and even do email and web, if that is what one wants it for. I did not. But I also did not want nor need a smart phone. Great phone. Does the job

This was a replacement phone for my teen son. His previous battery, from a phone 4+ years old, same model, lasts much longer. This may be a fluke, but if you do not have a back up battery like we do, you may not be able to use this phone for very long. Be sure to ask the company what their battery status/replacement policy is in the event that you do not have another battery to back up the one that comes with the phone. That being said, this is a great phone. Texts easily, but no Pandora's box of smartphones. I won't pay for a Data Plan...that's a thing I think I teenager with a job needs to pay for. We just got this phone recently, and I haven't had a chance to contact the company about the battery. Will update if they respond.

Took my "new" used phone (thought I was buying a brand new phone) to Verizon so they could transfer all my information. The associate said, "This is in pretty good shape for being used." I was surprised because I thought it WAS a brand new one--it was not. Then as soon as I was out of the Verizon store my phone went black (no power). I had put my charged battery in it. Couldn't get it to work, so I took the battery out and put it back in. It worked for a few hours then it went black again. I repeated removal of the battery and putting it back in. The NEXT day this happened 3 more time before noon. At that time, I went to Verizon and bought my first iPhone. I had also bought a warranty with the "new" used phone. I don't know how that works, but I DON'T want to send my phone back with all my information on it to someone who would sell me a phone like this in the first place!Read full review

I love this phone and have been using one like it for years. But now, no one makes the slide style phones anymore and Verizon is dismantling the network they operate on. So I bought it, I love it, but I can't use it! Too bad they don't have this style phone to use with the current networks.

It's a good basic phone with a sliding keyboard for texting. Have to recharge about every two days no matter how much it is used.
