Was it carrying malware?
This came with strange files still on it. After this I called Toshiba who also had no idea what these were and recommended not using this. After some research which produced uncertainty from others regarding the nature of these files. In the end I tried a full format which appears to have solved this. Hopefully! Selling a drive which hasn't had old files removed raises the possibilities having malware and viruses introduced to your machine and anytime you put a in drive with strange files on it you run a risk.
