I love AA Milne's writing style. This is one of my favorites, not because it is difficult to figure out, but because it is written so nicely. Milne was aggravated that he was only remembered for Winnie the Pooh, even though he loved those stories, and loved writing for children. He thought he had a lot more to offer the world of fiction than just that, and experts agree with him. (so do I!....although Pooh is my favorite, too!) If you like classic literature, you will love the Red House Mystery. If you prefer the way most current mysteries are written, you may not enjoy its slower pace.
