  • Has Operated Well and Reliably Once Set Up

A failed wireless card in a desktop PC made me realize we had not upgraded to 802.11 n, and this unit seems to be doing the job very nicely. We have several wireless computers, a Bluray, a Roku, and two phones and it's handling all of them quite nicely. It required some configuration and a bit of fussing, but has maintained high speeds and continuous uptime since. I configured it as a simple access point as we already have a router hardwired to the cable modem. The instructions are a bit vague at times and there is a "buy-in" button to accept configuration changes that's easy to miss. I think a bit of improvement to the manual would have served to earn the fifth star. The manual is not awful, but it would help if it was a bit more specific about options and setup procedures. As an example, I had to Google to determine the best option for setting up the security protocol such that it would be compatible with the higher "n" speed.

  • Does its job

It is doing exactly what I purchased it to do, which is to be a wireless access point to a Ubiquity Router attached to a 2.4g long range antennae.

  • Better than the ECB3500

This is like the ECB3500 but is refined and less buggy... awesome
