  • Better than Most Entry Level Oscilloscopes

It has a lot of features for a low end scope. It has a built in frequency Counter, a significant number of parameters that it can measure or calculate and a decent FFT for doing basic spectrum analysis. Also if you download the free Tektronix's software on your computer you can get a few extra features for image capture and printing as well as accessing features through a command line. It is a bit slow and if you are not patient it will hang up at times, and require a reset. It also has a very modest memory in terms points per sample, but I do not find it troublesome for my needs. Perhaps if I was using it for troubleshooting a complex problem I would be concerned, but that is not what I need it for. Yes it is more expensive than some of it rivals but the quality, the features, the support (I called tech support and got a real technician) and the warranty are all very good. I have two other Tektronix scopes one is 30 years old and the other is 20 years old and they both still work.
