Replacing stock shifter handle only. '09 Challenger SRT8.
I'm satisfied with the shifter mechanism, not the crappy oem grip/handle. I researched this handle extensively and finally purchased it, with an open mind. Received all my parts in one bag, in the mailbox. Each item was packaged individually, with a pretty detailed instructions sheet. Installation was as simple as reading the instructions, total install was under 20 minutes. I could tell the difference immediately when trying the shift selections. Shifting while driving is like a totally different vehicle. Short precise shifts, I don't miss third gear when speed shifting at all. Great product for someone who really has a budget and still wants that true sporty shifter feel. I ordered a black Hurst pistol grip for my black interior, but settled for the aluminum grip that came with the handle. You see it as soon as you open the door. Great feel in your hand also. Great work, guys!

Better than stock shifter
Finally got a chance to install the short stick shifter in my 2014 Challenger. The stock pistol grip shifter was always somewhat awkward. The new shifter was easy to install with the included instructions. What a difference in shifting comfort and the shorter throw seems to be faster and more precise. I probably would go to a complete Hurst shifter setup if I were drag racing, but for everyday street use, this shifter is great.

No regrets, very easy installation.
I wish I had installed this shifter into my 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT year ago. Absolutely huge improvement in shifting gears during normal driving. Very smooth feel when shifting up or down the gearbox. Not notchy like the OEM shift felt like.

Super shift lever and handle
This is a much more comfortable and functional shift lever and handle than the pistol grip(at Least for me). Fit the grommet in the boot then insert the shaft in grommet, impossible to do in other order. I used a clean like new 6” puffy knife to pry the plastic ring holding boot in, from drivers side. All in all I really like it!
