Works fine. I was upgrading my Win7 box because my cable-provided network speed now exceds the 100 Mbs that the motherbaord (Built-in LAN) supports. At first I could not get the card's gateway to stay. However I found a setting on my old LAN connection which I had to disable involving disabling Virtualbox. Great PCI Network 1Gb Card
I needed a pci (not pcie type) card for 1Gb ethernet support on an older Asus computer at home. I received the card in a few days and it was packaged well. I opened up the box, saw the mini disk for drivers, and installed the card into the computer and loaded the support drivers from the disk. I now have reliable 1Gb ethernet connection on my home network with this card, which outperforms the built-in motherboard 1Gb ethernet networking that would not support 1Gb ethernet no matter what I tried. The chipset is Realtek based and performs without issue. Initially I had it working in Windows XP and then upgraded the pc to Windows Vista since that is as far as the support for some of my scientific apps will support so it was imperative that this work great on those two older operating systems and it has. I'm very happy with the network card and was extremely happy with the quality and price. Plug and Play with Linux Mint, no problems and full Gigabit support. The empty LSI IC connector reminds me of days past. I'm can't remember what it's for but it's there if you need it. The included low profile slot plate is a nice touch for compact computers, esp since the device uses externalized connectors.
