  • Nometa BB-105-IV Milk consumed scale works well. Additional information in review.

My Nometa BB-105-IV Milk consumed scale weighing experience and thoughts: The scale must be on a level, even, hard surface. If you want to have a blanket or pad on the scale, put it completely on the scale, before powering on the scale so the additional weight does not count as part of the baby weight. Press the "On/Zero" button. The scale will adjust and beep to show 0 grams. Place the baby on the scale before breast feeding. Wait for the double beep sound which indicates that the scale has recorded the the baby's weight. Remove the baby from the scale and press the "Off" button. Now breast feed the baby. Power on the scale as before (Press the "On/Zero" button), wait for the scale to beep and show 0 grams. Weigh the baby again. Wait for the double beep sound which indicates that the scale has recorded the baby's weight. Next press the button that looks like a baby bottle. The "Milk consumed" weight difference is displayed in grams for about 7 seconds. Other information: I first tested the scale with a 4 pound stack of paper. The scale showed the weight in grams but it never beeped. If the scale does not beep then the "milk amount" display will not work. When i finally tested the scale weighing my baby it worked correctly and beeped. I did only 1 before and after baby weight test right away with no breast feeding in between. The breast feed amount showed 3 grams. A wiggling baby might make a small different in the weight measurement. The scale remembers the previous baby weight. The scale uses 4 AA batteries which may not be included. Just in case someone forgets: Don't change the baby's cloths or dipper in between before and after breast feeding measurements or the weight may be inaccurate. I could find no comprehensive English translation for this scale BB-105-IV that is why I wrote about my experience. The scale manual is only in Japanese writing, as best as I can tell. Safety idea: Keep you hands close to the baby to be sure the baby won't fall off the scale. I do like the scale. My wife and I have had the scale for about 3 days when I wrote the review. We have had the scale about 3 weeks now and it still works great. I made some updates to the original review: The beep is actually a double beep when it finishes weighing the baby. the double beep sound indicates that it has finished weighing the baby. The length of time it takes for the double beep to sound depends on how much the baby is wiggling. I did another before/After test with this scale. I weighted the baby, removed the baby and turned off the scale. turned on the scale and weighed the baby and a 20 gram weight (How accurate the 20 gram weight is I can't confirm) , removed the baby and weight, then pressed the "bottle" button. it showed 22 grams.

I’m a U.S. based Lactation Consultant and this scale works very well! It’s super lightweight and easy to use. The instructions are in Japanese, but I used AI to translate them.
