ORIGINAL WAS NOT CHARGING TO 100%
Well like many Microsoft Surface Pro users I've had it all happen from defective video new replaced twice and having the battery explode was also replaced for free as I documented issues on replaced unit . I decided to try and get my back-up unit reformated and set up for my wife to use in the hospital and could never get battery fully charged. Decided as charger was the original that it was time for a new one. Little did I know instead of replacing all the defective units now out there that they just throttled back charging to 50% maximum. Good Charger False Ad
The product itself is working properly. Although, I have only had it for a couple of weeks. To start off, the product is not a Genuine Surface charger. Buying it I had my suspensions but they really shouldn't be advertising it as genuine. I have 2 actual Microsoft surface chargers and I was able to compare them. That was one star off for falsely advertising. The second star was because it gets really hot within 10 minutes of using it. It charges perfectly fine so far. Better than third-party charger
I bought a pre-owned Surface Pro which had a third-party AC adapter/charger which worked fine for about a year. Got this original Microsoft Pro charger which has twice the power of the other. Does not work like the Microsoft / OEM version
This charger causes performance problems including causing the trackpad to become intermittently unresponsive. Disconnecting the charger restores normal functionality immediately. Works great with surface pro3
