    Excalibur RS-160-EDP

    This unit is the 5th I have installed. As easy and dependable as always. For the money, the best available, best value, and best features. Tech support is one of the best in the industry. I have made this unit my "go to" standard for all remote start applications! I am a DIY guy that installs these units myself in all my vehicles. Wiring into dash harnesses requires a bit of skill and attention to detail. I do not trust the stereo and car accessory shops for a solid installation. Most get paid a flat fee per installation and just throw them in anyway possible quickly. I take the time to ensure tight connections (braid, or solder all wire connections), I wrap up loose wires and make "factory quality" harness pigtails and connections, and I route all harnesses and firmly secure them being careful to avoid heat sources and moving parts (tilt wheels, brake pedals, etc...) strapping all components securely to prevent damage or disconnection from long term vibration. The Excalibur unit is bullet proof, but the installation can be the weak link if not done properly. Solid grounding, tight connections, and secure mounting insure a failure free installation!
