Easy to install and appears to be working as it should. These vacuums if looked after will run forever. The motor I replaced was 26 years old. Had no issues with it accept I had to replace the motor brushes once at around the 12 year mark. Brushes were inexpensive and easy to change for a handy person. In short, you can buy a brand new eco friendly vacuum for over $300 and have it end up in the landfill after 2 years, or you can spend he cost of a replacement motor and have a vacuum the will probably last the rest of your life.

It did not come with the outer sheath needed to make it fit my cannister - Had to use the old one - Would be better if that part was available to buy with the motor.
