  • Great product!

Being an avid cook, I cook almost every meal I eat. I have 4 bamboo wood cutting boards which I use all the time. I usually wet sand and re-oil them somewhere about every two months. I have been using Howard's oil for a while now. I like how light and clean it feels and looks. It doesn't seem like you're using industrial type oil, like some other brands do. What I usually do is first wet sand the boards completely smooth, especially removing all the knife marks. I let them dry in the dish rack for a few hours. I then apply the oil generously with a soft cloth, then let them sit in a dish rack overnight to dry. I wash the boards off with dish soap, let them dry again, then they're ready to use. There is no after taste on the food at all. My boards are in great shape, especially the board I use for cooked meats, which has a nice patina. I would highly recommend Howard mineral oil for cutting boards and other related uses!

  • A Great Product To Protect Your Wooden Serving Pieces

I used the Howard butcher block and Cutting Board Food Grade Safe Mineral Oil to protect my new bamboo Wooden Salad Bowl and 12 individual salad bowls. It was so easy to use. There was no mess in the process

  • Howard Butcher Block Mineral Oil...Food Grade

After purchasing the product, I applied two coats to three cutting board that were un-oiled previously. The oil penetrated well, and seems to add protection. However it also washes off quite easily and then leaves a white film which will go away with the application of another coat of oil. I think the bees wax additive might be better and protect against this happening.

  • Restored Butcher Block countertops to "like new"

This oil did a great job restoring my butcher block countertops to a "like new" finish. I was thinking about replacing the countertops in my kitchen, but decided to try this first. Followed the instructions and WOW, my kitchen is saved. Great Product!! Great Value!!

  • Good Stuff

I use this on my cutting board in my kitchen. It goes on easy, give it 20 minutes to be absorbed and then wipe off any excess. I do it about every three months. Stuff works.

  • Love the mineral oil!

My butcher block was looking a little sad until I used the oil. It looks brand new now! Thanks!

  • Works great.

I had found an old wooden cutting board and wanted to try to get it back to usable condition. So I did some light sanding, then applied the Mineral Oil, and now it looks great. Also used it on my wooden utensils.

  • Produces Rich luster

We took the time to apply all 4 coats liberally to obtain the best penetration. We let it soak in over night and we used it on both sides to protect the cutting board from food and moisture. It sure makes the look wood look much richer and more eye appealing.

  • Worked well

I found this to be easy to use, reasonably priced, and I got a good result. Now I’m costing every cutting board and wooden spoon in the kitchen.
