Hitachi Coil Nailer - high marks
My Hitachi NV65AH nailer is a great nailer. Has superb reliability and long life. My nailer is several years old and has been my favorite. I bought mine well used and it had reportedly been used in the construction of 3 or 4 houses. Since I bought it, I’ve built three substantial projects where I installed Hardie siding. I used my NV65AH to install 1/2” sheathing and Hardie on my house (complete remodel of 100+ year old house). The features include a compact, nicely balanced in your hand and a rugged design. Easy to load and to keep the nail feed clean. Because these nailers are popular, parts are readily available if needed. A couple of drops of pneumatic oil every use will prolong the life. I liked my nailer so well, that I bought a second one. The difference between the two is: NV65AH is a nailer with only a single sequential actuation mode with no selector switch, but is very reliable. Pictured at top. NV65AH2 has a select-fire switch allowing you to hold the trigger while jabbing the nailer for each shot, also known as contact actuation mode. It will also fire single shot in the single mode.
