I have three icemakers. If anything breaks on them it is usually the pump. This is my spare. I had metal trays made at a local sheet metal shop to fit under the ice makers. Three sides of the tray have about a 1 inch lip and the front side does not. The tray is slightly shorter than the depth of the icemaker so it is not visible. Run a small bead of clear urethane under the front edge of the tray and wipe clean. This prevents water from wicking back under the tray. The tray act as a barrier and will force any water leakage out the front for you to see and fix before it ruins something and creates a expensive repair. This pump will shut the icemaker down if it stops working and prevent bigger problems. Don't use the inexpensive ones from the big box stores that do not shut the icemaker down
