Cord is flexible and allows me to move around without pulling anything on the desk off. The only drawback is that the knurled tightening nut is smaller than the original MC-43 (3/16 wide rather than 5/16 wide). Since the mic jack on the radio is recessed, it is a bit more difficult to tighten and remove than it should be.
