Take your time, have the gun fairly warm, surgically clean and allow it to work for a few minutes. Best applicator is a 2" square of Scotch brand green scouring pad. You will end up with a deep dark blue-black that will surprise you. I just ordered 2 more bottles.

Thanks. All was well with the sale. It was the wrong product for what I was doing but that is on me. I have an old shotgun barrel that was taken down to bare metal. I wanted to re-blue it dark blue. This was the wrong product for the job. It will be good to keep around for touch ups on my other C. W. reenactment muskets.

Worked for me. Very close to a blue match. If you want a 100% match - it will require many layers of the product. The key is to let it dry so it may take days or a week before color bends correctly. I used a heat gun and that did help speed up the process.

very happy with results, I wanted the simplest and cheapest way to get the task done. It worked so good after I did the barrel of an old six shooter I did my old rifle. Two screws and the stock was removed, then both sites. I was able to leave the trigger and safety in place.

Take your time and follow the directions. No type of cold blue works in every situation. I have a couple different types on hand. I always start with this one first. It does work well
