    These Japanese filters are better...?

    I own a '23 Subaru that can use this black oil filter by P/N. I researched this and the OEM blue filter (USA made) Subaru recommends (I think it has the numbers '160' in its P/N). The research included seeing a video of these 2 filters being cut open and the inside components being inspected. Although the blue filter looked internally adequate, the black one's looked to be of better quality. These black filters cost more, but I think the difference is worth it.

    Real & Great for Crosstrek Hybrid

    This product is the absolute real deal and works on the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid perfectly. I highly recommend it and the shipping is extremely quick! This is so much better than the Fram product that Subaru USA tries to give consumers. I included an image of the glue pattern as that is one way you can tell if its counterfeit or not. Again, it is 100% OEM.

    Smaller than the old ones

    I ordered these to replace a batch of ..812 filters I ordered in ignorance. These are 1/2 again larger than the 812 filters, but still smaller than what I’ve been using for several years on my 2005 Legacy. In general, all OEM Subaru filters have shrunk in size due to their new oil filter supplier. I guess that’s progress

    OEM quality at a great price!

    When you change your own oil, and can find OEM items for about the same as over-the-counter FRAM filters, you have a great deal! This package also includes the OEM crush washers needed at each oil change, they can be found for at least $1 apiece if you buy a large quantity, I'd rather get exactly what I need for each oil change.
