I actually bought this to replace a seized spa pump and rancid filter box on an old spa that was gifted to us. I am quite surprised how well this little pump integrated in to the existing system with some simple adapters from Home Depot. No addition of a 240V circuit needed, just a simple plug-and-play in to a wall outlet and off it went! Perfect for our little spa-turned-pool for the summertime! Pump works great as long as you don’t get sand in your pool. Suction picks up sand and filters it right back through pump and back into water. A better fine grade filter would be great. I’ve gone through four filters in a week. Tried to recycle filters by cleaning them but they just don’t stay clean. Yes I have a pool vacuum put it filters thru the pump! You can see residual buildup in the hoses.
