Works just like it says it does. You can use it with the 1.25” hoses as long as you get the adapters. Moves the water very well. I’m very happy with it. I upgraded my index 15x 48 Pool pump from the 1000gph to this 2500gph added new inlets and added a skimmer with 1.50” hoses all works properly and absolutely no leaks as a matter of fact I’m so happy i might get a bigger intex pool and get a second 2500gph pump I’m also building a deck

We purchased this product used, on Ebay, for a 18X48 Summer Waves quick set pool. We had to purchase 2 adapters for the pump, as the hoses that come with the pool are 1 1/2 inch & pump side is 2 inch, after that it was a matter of a filter & this pool pump works great, keeps my pool krystal clear, pushes the water around very well, luv it no problems. I would highly recommend....

We have a small business in Austin, Texas installing stock tank pools. We use the Intex 2500 gph above ground pool pump because it’s easy to maintain and will last 3-5 good years IF you take good care if it and change the filter every 2 weeks. We love buying from VM Express. They sell only the best quality products. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company.

Although overpriced right now due to COVID 19 demand for above ground pools and equipment, this upgraded. pump/filter system is a must! Anyone considering getting a 12-16 foot round above ground pool will want to immediately improve upon the pump/filter set-up that comes with the pool! This Intex unit came highly recommended in other Intex Pool and Summer Waves Pool reviews. Does a trmendous job of quickly and powerfully cleaning and circulating the water! By the end of the summer you should be able to find these more reasonably priced.

We purchased this for our above ground pool, we wanted a stronger pump than what came with the original. We've come across a couple problems. 1) where the hose connects to the pump itself has a leak. We have tightened it as far as we could without breaking it but it still leaks. 2) the same problem when you connect the hose to the chlorinator filter, small leak there as well no matter how tight you can get it. 3)you'll have to purchase (separately) connector attachments for the hoses to your pool wall as these are bigger than the original hoses that come with your pool. And we didn't know that so we ended up having to purchase a set on line and wait for them to arrive before starting the pool up. The chlorinator filter is a nice addition and saves us from having to have the floater floating on the pool surface so we like that. It's pretty easy to set up and use. The past reviews state the timer usually only last one summer and they have to purchase another pump. So far ours is okay. It would be really great if those few items were taken care of, otherwise... 3 stars. Read full review
