Decent little off road system for a reasonable price.
Decent system for the price. I read all the reviews, but also went to youtube and watched so videos about this system. Purchased it and eagerly awaited the arrival. Like others said, the speaker mounting required the installation of rubber strips underneath the loops to make for a tight grip on my RZR. However, if you follow the directions that are enclosed, I don't see how they could come loose, the compression alone would keep them tight. The only problem I had was deciding where to mount the amplifier. Once again, read ALL the directions, even the small print. Yes, it advertises "waterproof", but that is for the speakers and controls. The amplifier is water RESISTANT, and should be mounted where it will NOT be exposed to being pressure washed, submerged when mudding, etc. On the back wall behind the passenger seat between the the rails turned out to be a great fit. I have a full windscreen and roof, so it shouldn't get to much water. The controls did take some decision making, since the 2011 model does not have a lot of room to flush mount in the dash. But removing a plastic rivet that holds the plastic dash to the steel frame behind allowed a surface mount with a slight bending of the mounting bracket. That puts it directly above the cup holder, which allows me to slide my Gen1 Ipod touch in there and hook it up to the aux input. The sound is great. I have my RZR street legal, and I can cruise down the road and hear the music quite clearly. On dirt roads it has to be turned up quite a bit due to the rattling and noise of the road, but what does one expect? It goes pretty darned loud! If you want a luxury vehicle that is quite inside so you can listen to Beethoven's 5th and hear the 3rd chair clarinet, buy an Escalade.... If you want to be blowing balls to the wall through the sand/mud/dirt, and blasting some good old Wango Tango, this is the system to consider....
