Easy to install, increases sustain, and has a modern "feel"
It's fairly easy to install. I put it on an old 1980s Fernandes Strat. I like the feel of the arm, as it has a more modern feel. It's not a Floyd Rose type of feel, but it's somewhere in between vintage and modern. It also increased the sustain and gain of my guitar.

best trem i've ever used
super high quality materials, build, and design. the best tremolo i've ever used, and i've pretty much tried them all. yeah, a floyd rose is higher performance, but a total pain to set up, keep set up, and change strings. my hipshot stays in tune, even with divebombs, so long as i don't let the strings go slack (this is the one area where the floyd out-performs them all). granted, a whole lot of tuning stability is due to the nut and headstock geometry, but this trem is noticeable more stable than traditional strat trems, modern 2-post strat trems, and my G&L dual fulcrum trem. and it is a whole lot easier to set up action and intonation than a wilkinson trem -- wilkinsons are nice but intonation/action is a pain to set up due to their saddle design. i'd say tuning stability is on par with a kahler, which is really saying something. ergonomics are great, too -- almost as smooth as a cam trem (kahler). a single minor nit: i wish it had a thicker trem arm with no tip (like a floyd rose) rather than a traditional skinny strat arm with plastic tip. installation was as easy as any 2-post non-locking trem -- couldn't ask for more. trem arm was way too tight, but i called hipshot and a knowledgeable human answered in a couple rings and told me to ream the arm socket with a 3/16 drill. worked perfectly, and i was really pleased to receive immediate, competent support. given how well it performs and how well it's made and the ergonomics, the price is perfectly reasonable. i recommend this tremolo bridge without hesitation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
