Ferrari and Microsoft collaborated to bring you an actual replica of the Ferrari 458 steering wheel from Forza Motorsport 4. The Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Italia steering wheel gives you the actual feel of being in the driver's seat by allowing you to actually mimic the cool driving techniques used to win a race. Measuring at 7/10 of the size of the original, this racing wheel is 11 inches and is padded with rubber for a comfortable grip. This replica has two Ferrari GT-style metal paddle shifters to enable smooth gear shifts as you race to the finish line. The pedal set provides you with long range and a realistic feel when applying pressure to burn rubber or slow down. As an added bonus, it also includes the Xbox button for easy access to the guide. A simple introductory wheel
There's nothing fancy about this racing wheel, apart from the stylized appearance. Solid design in both the wheel and the pedals, the buttons are incredibly ergonomic, the wrap on the wheel is decent enough, and the paddle shifters are made of solid metal. The majority of it is plastic, but made from sturdy stuff. You'd have to legitimately try to break this thing. The major drawback is of course it's lack of force feedback, meaning it's essentially just a glorified game pad. Dedicated players of racing games might find they struggle to get over the feeling of disconnect between the game and the wheel. But a wheel for dedicated sim racers this is not. It is, however, a great introductory product for anyone looking to transition off a pad and onto a racing wheel. Wheel works and feels great
For the price point the wheel has great features and feels great in the hands. The paddles are very solid and have have a satisfying click to them. It sits secure on the table. The main drawbacks are no force feedback or vibration and the pedal board is light and tends to fly up when pressing down on the pedals.
