It's okay to position it on the floor. I would not recommend hanging it on the wall. The chassis is rated for 155lbs but after loading 40 or so lbs it started saging. I still have to load another 75lbs on it and skeptical about it. I will have to support it from the bottom with c hannels and and steel rope. Tha packaging was so poor that some of the panels were loose and damaged and bent and dinged inside. I was surprised that the front glass panel did not break. If I could go back and buy a different brand I definitely would. The metal they used is not steel and quite thin. It bends easily. If you plan to put it on the floor and mount a few switches on it that's fine . The cage nuts provided are made of tin. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL AND BRAND.
