I ordered two of these fans because while trying to liquid cool my Xbox 360 dev kit I accidentally damaged the fan power circuit so I had to find another way to cool the console. Since the internal fans could no longer receive power and the fans themselves are damaged (no idea there) I decided screw it. If I’m gonna cool this I want to go all out. Lemme tell ya these things move ALOT of air. A hack of a lot more than I actually thought they would. Even at 5 volts they are still moving more air than a standard 12v cpu fan. At 12 volts these things roar. They are loud. Luckily I could care less. If it means my dev console will stay cool I don’t care about how loud it actually is. I personally think 9v is the sweet spot since I do have two of these side by side it’s not too loud and moves more than enough air. When I was assembling these I decided to give them 18v just to see and they almost FLEW off my workbench. I don’t know what these fans were originally for but if you need something that needs max air flow and a lot of power behind it I very highly recommend these specific delta brand fans! I also stand corrected 5v 2a is perfect. Delta also has detailed diagrams of every specification of these types of fans just by googling the part number on them. Just make sure your okay with noise. At 5v it’s mostly pretty quiet but anything more than that they are gonna roar but they are for a commercial purpose but regardless best fans I’ve bought in a long time!Read full review

in a tiny server designed originally for 95W CPUs I swapped the processor with a 140W one. cooling had to be improved so I replaced the original 60x60x25 6000rpm fan with this beast running off of a 12V- 4pin converter. keeps the CPU cool at full load.
