Can only recommend these original cartridges by brother. Would not buy off brand ever again. Brother cartridges are easy to open and install. They do the job as they are supposed to. We have tried off brand ink cartridges to save money for our Brother printer combo before but while the print quality was good for a while, after a year of using off brand cartridges the print quality declined and we were not able to to achieve it as it was before even when switching back to brother cartridges. We ended up buying a new printer combo. So, from experience I recommend to spend the extra money and buy original brother ink cartridges because it will make your printer last longer.
