Old Time Fun Made New
As much as I love my original Atari 2600, this unit is so much more compact and there is no changing of cartridges needed. 101 games, but no Pac Man! Wireless joy sticks are very nice and still have the option to use the plug in controllers. Sweet! Graphics and sounds are the real thing. It's okay- but probably won't play it that much
It's fun to play some of the old games. Many of the better games we know can't really be played with a joystick. Centipede and Missile Command for example. The lag between the wireless function and the game responding can often be very poor which makes you lose the game faster than you deserve. I've ordered a set of the wired joysticks in case that helps. Not sure why the couldn't at least duplicate (if not improve) on the original version. Be warned, the controllers take AAA batteries
The console is great, I bought it to play with my mom, on my TV the graphics weren't the greatest but on my friends 1080p monitor the graphics were unbelievably good, it's a great price considering the atari 2600 is not only rare but it's games are very expensive however this product has 101 games built in and it is much smaller than the atari 2600. Weak wirless joysticks
