2005 Chevy 1500 5.3 LS motor, But all full size Chevy's from like "99" to "05" have the same radiator support system. It took very little massaging, a few Tech type screws and a small light Angle iron lower mount turned up, a relief notch or 2 on the upper. Gives as much a 100% more surface area over stock. Besides I used the original one to increase the "oil" cooling capacity of a newly installed 28hp Kawasaki engine of my lawn mower. Happy so far!!

Installed on a '05 Taurus after having the transmission replaced. Very well constructed and the 4.5 ft. length of hose is high quality, also. A little disappointed with the hose clamps, though. I purchased #8 fuel injector hose clamps to use instead. Installation on the Taurus is tight in front of the condenser coils. I opted not to use the plastic zip ties because the fins on the condenser are so tightly packed. Instead, I used brackets, top and bottom, to suspend the cooler on the left side about a 3/8 inch from the condenser. Hose length was exactly right.

Lowered my transmission temp about 20 to 30 degrees. This in turn lowered my engine temp about 15 degrees. I was having heat related transmission trouble after driving long distances. This cooler has solved all of the problems I was having. This is a great product and wish I had one sooner. I also recommend the Hayden 679 extreme duty cooler.

My 2007 Chevy Trailblazer's transmission was running at 215 degrees in stop and go traffic, not good for the fluid or the clutches. It took a couple of hours to install because some plastic had to be trimmed and the included straps had to be bent just right to keep the cooler from contacting the radiator and other hard surfaces. The included hose was too short for my application so I bought a 10' length of 3/8's hose at a local auto supply store. Take care to route the hoses away from sharp edges and zip tie them so they don't rub against the frame or other sharp objects. After the install the temperature has consistently been between 165 and 180 degrees. We'll worth the time and effort.

I bought this cooler cause my Dodge Caliber stock is insufficient to properly cool my transmission especially in the jot weather. It is now 60% cooler. It wasn’t easy to install but it wasn’t hard either. I changed my fluid at the same time. It takes approximately 2 quarts more now. I do not have a pic after everything was installed because i had to put car back together before it stormed
