  • Save your Nissan Pathfinder!

My Nissan Pathfinder now has 80,000 miles on it and I wanted to replace the plastic tank radiator. The original equipment radiators are prone to trans cooler problems. I can not see any way this can happen now!! The fit and quality are perfect. This costs about the same as an original equipment dealer item, but in my opinion this is a much superior product.

  • Better than oem

Will install it after my warranty void out on the cross contamination issue on the Nissan Pathfinder....I should have done it as soon i bought the Pathfinder $3000.00 on a new transmission and new radiator...This is the solution for the cross contamination when antifreeze mix with transmission oil due that plastic radiator cracks in the inside by the time you find out it may be to late....Safe your self that big bill and buy it,you won't regret it........

  • A good radiator, but came damaged and with a COMPLETELY wrong cap

I put this into my 2011 Pathfinder to replace the faulty rad. While the 2011's weren't known for having this issue, I decided to play it safe and install a new radiator so I chose this one. Overall the build quality looks great and it arrived nice and shiny and the welds looked spot on so in the looks department its a solid 5/5. Value wise it's a bit expensive even though it was being sold at a discount when I purchased it. A plastic tank radiator from CSF is about $100 give/take, but when the plastic tanks are removed it goes up about $250. I've purchased a performance Mishimoto all aluminum radiator for my 1990 300zx a few years ago it was about $100 less. What I didn't like about this product was that the radiator was damaged when it arrived and the cap they provided was wrong for the application. The lower radiator hose outlet was bent pretty bad at the tip so it didn't form a circle opening. Luckily I was able to bend things enough to round it out and get a hose on it to fit. No coolant leaks after 2000 miles so that's good. The box wasn't damaged at all and the radiator didn't look used when I pulled it out of the box so chances are the person who boxed it up might have dropped it and still packaged it anyway. I would have returned it, but I really needed my vehicle up and running so I installed it regardless. The radiator cap is the wrong one since CSF only provides a pressurized cap for the radiator. The pressure for the radiator on Pathfinders/Xterras/Frontiers is on the reservoir tank, not the radiator. Driving around with both made my heat gauge jump up almost to overheating and start spraying coolant over my engine bay. I had to bend the tabs on the factory cap to fit this radiator to stop this problem. Overall, I have to give this a 3/5. Looks are great and it's performing as expected as I'm running at a constant cooler temperature based on the temp gauge. I do think the radiator is a bit overpriced and the cap issue would have easily caused the engine to overheat which would have added a problem when I was trying to avoid one.

  • Fantastic Product and Company

I have an Xterra that was factory defective with a bad leaking Radiator. All the blogs out there said the Factory replacement radiator was just as bad with NO good after market replacement. THEY WERE WRONG. This Radiator from CSF is kick ass. Perfect fit, Top quality, best clean welds around. Installed quickly and has even lowered the temp by 10 degrees.!!!! If any one has an 05 to 12 Frontier, Xterra or Pathfinder with the factory radiator that leaks or has ruined the transmission this great Radiator will solve the problem.
