I recently rebuilt a '74 Corvette that was fitted with an LT-1 engine. I had the Holley carb professionally rebuilt. Initially everything was fine but I randomly started having what seemed like carb problems. Gas smell in garage after being parked, running rich, plugs wet & dark when I pulled them. I tried changing fuel inlet seats, jets & tightening carb bolts up and it was still intermittent. Then after reading an article on how critical fuel pressure was I checked mine and it was 9# at Idle ... supposed to be 6#. With this fuel pressure regulator it was 6# out of the box and so far no more issues with all original parts put back in carb. The instructions in the box were a little confusing as they're for Holley Electric fuel pumps that reference this unit but I'm very pleased with it.

It works and looks good. Although they should have included mounting instructions. The mounting holes were not threaded and the mounting screws had to be forced threaded into the holes. This I did not realize this at first, and thought that they forgot to thread the holes. I would think that on a part like this, the holes should be factory threaded unless there there is a reason for not doing so.

it looked great right out of the box. It does not come with connectors (does not say it does either) so I had to purchase hose connectors. one output leaked when tightened so I had to use teflon tape to seal it (instructions say not to use tape). it is advertised to be 6.5 pounds preset, mine was reading a little higher so I had to adjust it (which is easy to do).

Really easy to install buy sealant for extra safety don't want any fuel leaks easiest thing to adjust an fine tune your ride only been on my car for two weeks and driven on the car one time

Hold pressure at 5psi as needed. Some installation issues: had to tap the mounting holes, one mounting screw wrung off in the firewall (cheap screws) and the lock nut for the adjusting screw is some weird size (had to finally use an adjustable wrench). But, like the title says, once installed, it worked perfectly.

Just what I needed for my Edelbrock carburetor, which is very picky about fuel pressure. It wants no more than 6.5 psi. My mechanical pump was putting out 7.5. The adjustment with this regulator is very precise, and the setting has been consistent since installed. Make sure to install a fuel pressure gauge between the regulator and the carb. And do not forget the fittings needed for your application. This regulator has the input from the fuel pump on the bottom, and has two outputs. You probably only need the one output, so you will have to also buy a plug for the unused output port.

Good produce. initial pressure read was 6.5 psi easy to adjust. No leaks or issues. Thanks.

I had to rebuild it because the diaphragm was hard as a rock. Should have purchased a new one instead. I had a perfectly good one on my car already. I just wanted a shiny one that said Holley on the side of it. Anyone want to buy one just like it? It works perfectly just not chrome plated.

this item works as it should. there are cheap knockoffs that look the same but.... this works, it's rebuildable, and its a Holley. I'm using it on my Edelbrock 1406 carburetor with great success. Edelbrock carbs are notorious for fuel pressure related problems. mine was with the off idle circuit. I turned the pressure down to 4.5psi and it fixed it. upon fast acceleration my manual fuel pump pressure was jumping up to over 7psi causing the issue.
