no good with braid, had to repair after 5 minutes use pully shaft fell out
Disappointing quality. I had to take the cover off and reinstall the pulley shaft retainer after 200 feet of line. Then I left the small end pulley cover off permanently so I could loop the line around the pulley. It was the only way to prevent the line from sliding across the pulley without turning it. After these modifications it worked well but I was only using it to reload spools at home. It would be worthless trying to use it while fishing.

its a little touchy setting the line tension to be tight enough to roll with the line.
i use this to load spools with a certain amount of line, i then add backing to fill the spool and unwind and wind to another empty spool then spool it all to the reel. careful not to twist line this way. 450 feet measures my casts, and allows me to use expensive braid on top, 65 pound braid backing, blood knot joins. the device is easy to use, just put it on the rod backwards when filling the spool. Once set to work with the line its easy to use.

Looks good in the box but no instructions and some unidentified knobs and parts. would not measure line of any diameter and was clearly an adjustment issue but again no instructions. Went on line and lots of reviews ,all negative, but again no in instructions.
