Stereo Speakers, "sub-woofer" and a stereo amp in one rack unit high case!
I was very impressed with the engineering and quality put into this unit. This is a pro-level product all the way. The entire chassis is made from steel and should last forever. The two outer front panel "holes" contain small forward-firing speakers with "wizzer" cones (and large magnets) for the "mains" & tweeter functions. There are two woofers behind the center holes and these act as sub-woofers of a sort. One fires upward, the other is wired out-of-phase and fires downward (for maximum coverage and phase alignment for best bass performance). A comprehensive stereo amp and multi-input preamp section (with power supply) take up the remaining space inside the chassis. Also on the front panel are speaker volume control and a headphone output jack with its' own volume control. The speakers are turned off when using headphones. On the rear, there are two XLR low-impedance inputs and two RCA phono high-impedance inputs. The XLR input connections are looped-through to two reverse-sex XLR output connectors for inline "audio intercept" use. The power cord receptacle is a fused standard IEC type. The volume, stereo stage and audio quality are very impressive from such a compact package. This unit could be used for just about any application that requires comprehensive stereo monitoring capabilities. These could include live audio mixing, recording studios, radio/TV remotes, ham radio or even just stereo monitoring. Made with ultimate quality in the USA!
