Perfect for a small kit
Works great with my Sonor Safari jungle kit. It's perfect for cramped spaces and would give even bigger kits a much cleaner look (less visual distraction - the hats on my bigger kits are up too high for this rod though). Finally got that pesky rod out of the way!
I use a drop clutch, and my hi hat sits at a height that puts the rod at about a half inch above. Compared with about 7 inches on the original. It really opens up the kit for for better movement, allowing me to put things where I couldn't before without hitting that rod.
