    Lightweight and compact hat stand.

    A lot of hat stands these days are overbuilt for many of us drummers. I wanted to return to the past, so to speak, and pick up a stand that was well built, yet lightweight and thus easier to transport. I chose the Gibraltar Flat Bass stand. I've had it about a year now and have giged with it many times, plus it's on the go during the week for rehearsals. I like it a lot. Folded, it takes up very little room in my hardware bag and it sets up in just a moment. It has a memory lock and an adjustable spring tensioner. It also has two spikes at it's base to dig into whatever you're set up on to prevent creep. These spikes can be removed if you like. These days I play in a small country ensemble, so light duty hardware works well. This great little hat stand is just the ticket for the light, 13" hats I play these days, and it works equally well on 14" & 15" medium hats. On top of all this, ya' just can't go wrong with Gibraltar hardware. Great equipment and a great value for the money.

    Gibraltar Flat Base Hi Hat Stand

    This stand is well designed and sturdy enough for rock gigs. I refuse to carry extra heavy hardware now so have switched to Gibraltar flat base stands. The hit hat is smooth and accurate. The low profile also makes the drum kit look classier.
