  • Very good cheap flash for beginners

This is powerful, well-done flash which is suitable for all cameras with hot shoes. The only disadvantage of the flash is that it's manual, without TTL. However, it has excellent price-to-quality ratio, so if you want TTL, you have to buy something more expensive. The flash perfoms good in case of serial shots - only with the maximum power it can miss 2 or 3 shots, but I don't think it's needed very often. Moreover, flash is perfect in slave mode - you can use it as independent flash triggered by built-in camera flash, even when the built-in one is covered by something (for example, your hand) in order not to influence the photo. By the way, I can say, that the diffusor is quite useless (so as small softbox, which I bought separately) - I guess, it is better try to use bigger studio softboxes or umbrellas. Flash stand can be mounted on tripod which is great for making simple studio lighting.

  • Great value for money, recommend for beginners photographers !

recommend for beginners photographers, for very low price you get nice build flash that do his work very well and have built in radio trigger so you can use multiple flashes, its can be very handy. Because its don't have ETTL with special connection the flash can work on multiple cameras brand, I test it on Canon, Nikon and Fujifilm and the flash work without issues.

  • Easy to use and setup

I have used the Y560 III series now for about 2 years with mixed results. 2 of the units have failed on receiving signals from the transmitter so are useless now. The others are hanging in there and work well when they work. I am hoping that the new version will hold up better. On the good side, they all seem to talk to each other well and produce a decent flash. I usually use up to 3 at a time for real estate photography and rely on them heavily. For the price are really hard to beat and can purchase several for the price of one OEM product. They are fairly easy to setup and use and the wireless capability is very good.

  • So Impressed, I Bought Two More

I was so impressed by the construction, performance, and price of my first YN 560 IV that I immediately ordered two more. Some of the built-in features the Yongnuo has that I like are the optical slave, radio slave, zooming flash head, variable angle flash head, and the variable power output. Since I shoot with a variety of cameras (e.g. small format, medium format, large format, film, digital, Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Pentax, Olympus, and a few others), I prefer not to use flash units that are dedicated to a specific camera brand. The Yongnuo YN 560 IV is not dedicated to a specific camera brand. One important feature that the Yongnuo 560 does not have is automatic exposure control. Most dedicated flash units have this feature. I, however, do not miss this feature because I do not need this feature. Since I tend to use my flash units with umbrellas and soft boxes under studio conditions and since my subjects are not constantly changing their distance from the flash, the automatic exposure control feature is of little value to me. For exposure control, I primarily shoot only at full power and use the flash guideline number and/or a handheld flash meter to determine the correct exposure.

  • Great budget flash

Surprisingly good build quality from Youngnuo, compatible with wireless control (that I'm considering to buy, not because I really need it but the low price tag). Good light output, easy to use even without chinglish manual. Clearly marked buttons and back lit display enable low learning curve for users. Sound and light status signals make sense, so you really don't have to check display before every shot. For amateur photographers that need first flash, this one is definitely a good choice. Good reviews on photography sites confirm this and some even claim that Youngnuo YN-560 can be cost-effective and suitable for professional studio lighting rigs.

  • Good price with great features

The flash worked well with my Sony Alpha SLT A58 and A7ii cameras. However, it has issue with my Sony A6000 as the camera rarely noticed the flash is installed and connected. Many users had posted the same problem on Internet already, it's very tricky to get it to work on the Sony A6000 due to the locking pin that is retracted when you tighten up the locking wheel

  • great inexpensive light

i liked it so much i got a second one. intuitive and solidly built. i shoot only manual, so this is perfect for me. coupled with the triopo 982ii i now have a 3 (or more) light setup capable of hss. def worth the money. also the built in reciever is a great selling point for me. no need to buy radio units to have off camera flash. get the 560tx and control all your settings from the camera. i am pleased with my yongnuo purchases so far.

  • YONGNUO YN560III

I used to have canon 430II and it always gave me dark pictures and not enough lighting when needed so I sold it and brought this and this flash is 1000 times better than that canon. Only thing you would want to get the battery pack to go with it so you get the maximum recycling time but other than that this flash is everything. I love it and for the price you can just buy two and have one as a backup.

  • The best flash ever

If you want to add light to your scene, the way you want to, this is the perfect tool to accomplish that, no more wait for automatic results, you get what you want. Plus, the built in receiver makes sync with different flashes so fast. I love it, I have 2 now and I can't wait for buying 3 more.

This speed light is very reliable, works great with my Canon 7D mark II. I use it using YN-150TX, and it has no misses.
