This has always been one of my favorite movies. So I was overjoyed to find it on e-bay. To find it so reasonably priced was an added surprise. The packaging was good and there was no appreciable wear. The product arrived very qickly as well, despite having to come from overseas. The movie disc itself is a disappointment however. In several places, the movie lags or skips. It does this no matter what machine I try to play it on or how much it is cleaned. Also, the movie is recorded on two sides of the disk, so halfway through, the movie stops and you have to change the disk, despite this being an average legth movie. The disk bears no markings to discern side A from Side B either. This lack of disk quality and lack of production value lead me to believe that what I purchased was a pirate copy.Read full review
What else can be said about this movie that has not already been said? Well, let me tell you, If I had known that the film was largely shot so close to my home, I would be working in Hollywood now. The Duke as almost always does a masterful job as the Colonel but, what makes this movie jump for me was the supporting cast. They don't get any better than Jim Hutton. Then you have Raymond St. Jacques and Aldo Ray who not only lend a sense of realism and humor. If this movie had been shot in today's anything goes climate, it would have been far too much language. But John Wayne was a man way beyond his era. He knew that he could have made a movie with atrocious language and even gratuitous violence. He chose to use his mastery of the craft and use great strong supporting casts to convey the message of the story. It is a movie that belongs on the movie shelf of every fan of John Wayne or Jim Hutton, Ray, St.Jacques, and even David Jansen. I simply do not have the words to properly convey how this movie deserves 10 15 or 20 stars. The most remarkable part of this movie to me was that John Wayne already knew he had Lung Cancer and he knew that his life was going to end before much longer and he so wanted to make a movie about the Vietnam War in a way that showed more of the human side as well as the determination of both opposing forces. I end this review with the last line of the movie Green Berets; "you are what this is all about."Read full review

I haven't seen this movie in decades; but it is a classic. Good story telling, and of course having an Icon in the leading role John Wayne, makes it all the better. I got this movie real fast Thank You, great service. Tony D.
Always a great film by John Wayne! Patrick Wayne, George Takei (Nim), Aldo Ray, Jim Hutton and Jacques St. Claire, An all star cast. A team of Green Berets go after a top target, but meet opposition along the way! Will they succeed? Watch the film and find out! This was the most daring film by John Wayne, who supported our military, in the best way he knew how! While many opposed the war, John Wayne supported the troops! Always, read the credits, You learn so much about actors and their lives, and here you will read about John Wayne and his award he received! John Wayne loved people, and children! But John Wayne brought realism to the set and it shows in this film, many of our troops from the Viet Nam era will tell you, yes, these things in this film, are real! And this was the enemy we faced over there! Terrorism in the beginning started here!Read full review
