So cute
Saw this on HBO and it is so cute. The music is integrated well with the action in the movie. Characters are very likable, primary female character is quite independent and is good role model for girls and even the bad guys are likable . Nothing scary or off color In this movie but it has lots of humor that will have adults chuckling. Even my two teenage son's and husband enjoyed watching. This is a computer animated musical production. There are no original songs, but many that people will recognize, such as the title piece, Strange Magic" Like most musicals, characters burst into song for little reason which sometimes draws attention from what's going on. The story line is the typical good guys vs bad guys but the main character's early transformation to a macho female and a twist near the end that saves it to some extent. This is one of my favorite movies because of the excellent selection of songs and singing presentations to drive the action and tell a bittersweet love story. We see character development; sprinkled with action, comedy, mishap, conflict, and finally resolution. Difficult to pick just one favorite character. I can't believe how underrated this movie is! It's TAP YOUR TOES FANTASTIC!!

Looks can be deceiving!
I thought this would be good movie because of the images. It’s awful. The story is overshadowed by annoying singing of popular old song’s. I like musicals but this ridiculous. Every 4 minutes some character starts singing. You can’t enjoy the story. The story is about a beautiful princess falling for a ugly supposedly bad guy. It’s about true love. Despite differences. I fall in love with very few movies but this one was an exception. The imp is adorable. I did not think I could like the Bog at all but I fell in love with him too.
