Vivid orchestrations color this set list, featuring Rodney Green with Zaccai and Luques Curtis on piano and bass, respectively. Flautist Don Braden, trumpeter Bruce Harris, trombonist Michael Dease, guitarist Mark Whitfield and master trumpeter Claudio Roditi share the front line with Garrison, who also doubles on baritone saxophone. Jimmy Heath hails Garrison as a "talented and superb saxophonist with one foot in the past, and one foot in the future".
