True top tire of today..
I have a cruiser a Honda Shadow VT 1100 I've always been use to sport bikes.without naming names of other tire company's the shinko 230 cruise tops the chart I feel comfortable on my cruiser now at high speeds low etc this tire grips the road! To good in fact it takes a minute to get use to the excellent response I can drag a knee and dance around when other tires are squirrel.nothing tops the 230 cruise master I have both front and back I ride with 100% confidence! Rides well
I went with this tire because of cost, and other reviews and talk about it from other riders about it having good traction and lasting. I was not disappointed when it was delivered, feeling the rubber composition I knew it would hold the road pretty good (and it does). My funds being very low, I mounted the tire on the rim myself and took it to a shop just to check the balance. It was almost true as it was, and the guy told me it was honestly good enough but I asked him to bring it closer to 100%. I haven't had the tire on long, only ridden about 3-400 miles so far. But I am an active rider, any day I can get away with it I'm on my bike :) So far it is holding up well with no indication of wear. It holds the road well in the corners, and bike has a good ride as it absorbs the rough road. Overall I am happy with my Shinko tire so far. This the second Shinko rear tire I've purchased for my Vmax. It's a good looking piece of rubber and doesn't require much balancing weight. But compared to expensive Bridgestone tires I've run previously this Shinko doesn't have quite as much grip; I can burn it easier. It also doesn't wear as well as the Bridgestone. A good tire at a budget price
I have been a Shinko customer for years. I ride over 8000 miles a year, so replace tires about once a year. I went 10mm over stock width and the same aspect ratio, but had no problem with fitment. The 230 tour seems to be running warmer than the Dunlop that was on the bike when I got it, but that's only a concern on the hottest of Indiana days.
