Wanted something different this time. Had owned a BB in the past and liked that it was and easy phone to repair. Reception-Totally outstanding!! In an area that constantly dropped calls on the Samsung, Motorola and iPhone, the Z30 maintained reception for over three hours of talk time to my sister. (I-10 from the west end of Tallahassee to Eglin AFB and back to Chipley.) Normally the other phones dropped the call at least 4 times in that stretch of road. Battery-Is so-so, not outstanding. Even at idle on that trip it drops the charge to 50-60% of full. Probably too much going on in the background. I'm still learning. Learning Curve-It's high for me. There is little information out there. CrackBerry is a good source but trying to hunt down a relative solution to the problem can turn into a hour long task. And even then there may not be an answer. Also, native apps tend to take over and do automatic, unauthorized routines like loading Facebook friends' birthdays into the calendar. Hey BlackBerry, we get notices of those automatically via email. Don't clutter my calendar!! Apps-BBW has few apps that are relative to what I need. The promise of Android apps running on the Z30 are not true. OS is the latest and should support .apk but so far not the one has loaded on the Z30. Some users suggest opening the app's final destination in the browser, sign in and bookmark the page. But that doesn't always work as most sites will time out and you have to re-enter the password. My passwords are long, complicated and must be written down to be remembered. Overall I am impressed with the reception of the Z30 and not too happy with the rest of the features. (Looking back, my first mobile phone was a Motorola "bag" I bought in 1988. All you could do on it was call so why complain...right?)Read full review
This is a good phone. I especially appreciate the security, and this is why I got it. Two things, though: 1. the WiFi radio is weak. You will need to be fairly close to a WiFi signal to pick it up. 2. the voice recognition when you use it for Internet searches needs to be improved. it works well most of the time but I find myself typing in the search frequently. I can deal with these issues because I have other devices to use as well. I will always keep a Blackberry and this one stays.

I bought this phone as a stand in for my broke IPhone5. I was going to wait and buy an IPhone6 or 7 but have decided for now that for the price I got it at (approximately 89$), That it is at least as good as my IPhone5 was. The display can bee seen in direct sunlight fairly well and the battery lasts 1 or 2 days for me depending on usage. OS is pretty easy to understand but I was always a Blackberry fan; some people don't like the gesture system of getting around but I had no problem adjusting from an IPhone. Camera is better than average but not quite as good as IPhone. I don't have many apps or games installed but have been able to side load Android app and games with mostly good results.

love the phone. nothing better out there. it's a communications tool not a toy. great call quality, very fast response, never crashes, plenty of apps, can run Android and Blackberry apps, battery goes for 2 days or more of continuous use. the seller has a phone number and gets baxk to you quickly with accurate, good information.

First off I have owned Android, IOS, and BB10 devices and BB10 is still the best OS out of them all as I'm typing this. The Z30 5" screen is clear, great colors, smooth, and perfect form factor for one or two hands. The OS is always fluid, never hiccups, and the hub integration with your accounts is next to none. Android and IOS always feels clunky, and hard to navigate due to all of the steps you have to take to open and close apps, check messages, configure settings so on and so forth even with 6.0 and new ios10: BB10 has none of these issues. The keyboard is excellent as you would expect from BlackBerry, and similar to swiftkey if you're coming from android but more fluid and much faster, with ability to swipe at words instead of clicking them and better layout. Front and rear camera is fine, considered midrange these days but pictures are clear and many stock settings you can play around with. Equipped with micro SD for upgrading storage from 32gb, micro hdmi for video output, and micro usb for charging. Having stock adobe and office programs (office to go suite) is extremely helpful and helps tons w documents and presentations. Works flawlessly! If you're unsure about picking up one of these, or other BB10 phones, if you like to be productive and care about communication then it's definitely for you. Read full review

Bought this Z30 in order to connect to a router via tethering. Even with the OTG feature that should work with the Z30, pop up with driver missing. So for did not succeed making this feature working but I presume, not the fault of the seller. Would not have that size to carry around but nice screen, quick response, well unlocked... and as described. Good seller.

I was hesitating between purchasing Blackberry Z10 or Blackberry Z30 as price was a factor. Well, let me say that Blackberry Z30 is worth the sacrifice. I've been using it for a week now and the time investment is reaping it's benefits. Pros: 1) Internet thethering is amazing. - They can keep their wireless device password! 2) True Multitasking. 3) Great Camera. I filmed a WorldCup match on it and the Image quality was fantastic. 4) Bluetooth connection is fast and you can send file up to 160mb in my experience. 5) Screen size is practical, not too big like in Htc One. 6) Internet is lightning fast(Based partly on your plan) 7) HDMI support is genuine. 8) You can use torrent application. (Tips-You need to install transdroid) 9) Emails & word & Excel & PDF software are incredible Cons: 1) Counter intuitive. There's a learning curve. It's like you are used to using Mac and then you are handed a Windows-based PC. But a Blackberry Z30 is much more simpler in gesture. It will require fewer touches less when you get to know where to look for. No overcomplicated moves like in Samsung. That's why you might get frustrated at start as you may need to use google a lot to learn those moves. I've written down some of the tips I collected. 2) Internal Memory Only 16gb. You may need to buy an external SD Card. 3) A complicated hub for all opened applications You have to touch-drag from top to bottom and go through the whole of it. Tips ( I actually had to Google them): 1) The back cover. I nearly broke it in that it was too tough to open. Use a small pointy tool to slide under the middle bottom of the back cover and then gently lift it up. Then slide it to the left and then right. Don't use your fingernails as you'll break them surely! 2) The back and forward button (No return button) The back button is found on the left of the address bar at the bottom. The forward button is more tricky. You have to touch the three vertical dot button found on the right on the address bar. Then you'll see the forward button. 3) How to close Application Ok, this one is counter-intuitive as there's is no X button in the top right corner for any application or anything at all. You have to touch-drag from the bottom to top of the screen. The application you were in would become smaller and the X button will be revealed in the bottom right corner. 4) Browser - How to open page in new tab & use bookmark You have to steady touch the link, then a menu will appear on the right and you have to select an item that looks like 2 small page tied by a chain. To use bookmark, you can use the left panel by touching the bottom left icon that look like two pages and the option will be revealed. 5) Security - Use device password instead of SIM Card password If you use SIM Card password, your phone would take longer to start or restart. 6)Battery Life Battery life is great but if you're planning on using internet thethering for a long time without interruption, think about purchasing an external battery charger. 7) Peek to see time & battery life When you touch-drag from the bottom to top of the screen, you'll see the time in the middle top and the battery indicating the % left on the left side. 8) HDMI After connection, flip your phone horizontal and it will perfectly align with your tv. Here you go Folks. Blackberry Z30 will enhance your experience of enjoying a smartphone as it's not a commercial toy like the rest. It's actually practical for daily life.Read full review
Ok, here is my review of this phone, I hope it results useful for everybody. This device has nothing to do with the previous generation, BlackBerry 7 devices. Not at all. And here is why: 1. Integration with Microsoft Exchange servers is like a breeze. Now you can expect your email messages to arrive right away, you don't have to wait up to 15 minutes to receive them (which means essencially everybody is a BES user now). All fields are syncronized wirelessly, which means you have your emails, contacts, tasks and notes in your phone with no need to wait, and with no need to use a client on your PC like BlackBerry Desktop Software. 2. The new upgrade to BlackBerry 10.2.1 gives you the chance to install your Android applications directly on your device. I haven't had the need to install too many apps, but those I had to install, work quite well. 3. BlackBerry browser has all the features you would expect form a premium browser for a Premium Smartphone: Integration with flash, and Full Desktop Mode. Needless to say you can even use the browser to watch whatever videos you want online. 4. Many people say this device doesn't have an FM Radio. Well... IT DOES. Not like an application by itself, but rather as a functionality inside the Native Music Application. Give a try and you'll see it on the lower bar. 5. This device is completely OEM, which means it has no logos, no firmware attached to any operator. But keep in mind that when you insert your SIM card, you will see your operator logo when turning your device ON or OFF (This somehow is something I haven't been able to deactivate). 6. The device includes Documents to Go Suite by default, so you shouldn't have problems to view / edit your Office Documents. 7. THE BLACKBERRY HUB. Imagine a single application that can condense ALL of your messages in one single place so you don't miss any of them, leaving unread messages unckecked, and marking others as read. It also shows you, all the time, when will you have your next meeting, from the confort of your block screen. In other OSs, you have to open individually each application and then check your new messages, and ocassionally you can forget to check the older ones. Well... All that is finished with the BlackBerry Hub. I think this is something that really makes this BlackBerry OS unique. 8. Batterly life is good, REALLY good. You don't have to worry about it during the day. In my case, I have reached up between 24 to 30 hours of use without charge. 9. This version of BlackBerry allows you to search between your attached files wihout you having to remember who sent them, 10. Great device to quicly answer any of your messages in no more than two gestures. Now lets go to not so possitive things: 1. The Screen is beautiful, but I think they could have made it to support Full HD. But don't mistake this opinion, the screen looks good and does its work quite well, even under sunlight conditions. 2. Battery is non - removable. I know this can be a deal break for some of you, but trust me, this battery has a great autonomy as I said in the previous section. 3. Back cover is somehow difficult to remove, be careful or it will brake your nails. 4. The device comes with the application BlackBerry Maps wich doesn't work on some places, unlike other similar products. Not a big deal for me, but it's something to consider. 5. Hardware doesn't look too powerful, but keep in mind this is BlackBerry: it performs quite well with the series OS.Read full review

the z30 is a great phone. It is really a small, functional computer that passes itself off as a phone. I use I for everything, record keeping, email, shop manuals etc. It I waaaaaay tougher than an I device, the one I'm typing on has been folded over my sled handlebars in the Rockies, I had to put on a new screen, bend the motherboard straight, and its as good as new. I bought another as a backup for the future. It's a business machine like no other and has all the app I need.
