  • Quality product

Well, I hooked it up and ran through all of the presets, the sounds available and the sheer quality are mind blowing. It`s not a cheap pedal by a mile, but what you get for that, all in one easy to use live working pedal, is truly top notch. I would say you need to download the operating manual, as there is so much in there. I am still setting mine up to my personal preferences & presets, but I know once I have achieved that, I will start using it live. Add that to a really solidly built workhorse, It`s the only one you will ever need.

  • Acoustic Play

I love the way the Acoustic Play makes my vocals and guitar sound. I did the online upgrades and got a professional to help me set it up. Great harmonies, reverb and delay sound great. My only problem is that as a harp player, I have to use a second mike onstage because the harp sound is distorted by the Acoustic Play. I understand this can be corrected with the optional switch pedal? I used it for the first time at a gig this week and was very pleased.

  • TC helicon play acoustic

Very nice piece of equipment , sound is great and easy to adjust . Could use a quarter-inch guitar output and should come with the manual . Took a little bit of messing around with but once I figured out it it is a great piece .

  • Great harmonies

I owned one of these units and was very pleased with it. I bought it as a back up to my VL2. I sold the VL2 and began to miss the "extras" it provided that the Play Acoustic didn't. I sold the Play Acoustic and moved up to the VL3. I'm very glad I did. Just a bit of advice...when moving up to the bigger pedals...be prepared to spend a reasonable amount of time l e a r n i n g what it can do and how to control it properly. These units offer so much and the right voicing is a must.

  • Love it ....some quirks

It has been really fun to try the different presets. The harmonies are very nice and clean. To my ear they sound great. I haven't played a gig with it yet....so we will see. There are some basic things that I wish i had known about the interface. Some fundamental orientation videos would be good. I had the most basic problem with not understanding that the buttons were so sensitive. It is almost comical! I would PRESS the button and nothing would happen! But i finally discovered just to TAP the button and everything worked fine. Seriously. Holding the button firmly down did nothing. Just tapping it though... .and it worked as it should. :-) Really weird to me! But overall, I think the guitar effects and voice are very good. i'll enjoy this thing I am sure.

  • Great voicing

I was surprised this has a good sound. Only problem is that it doesn't come with a phono out plug for the guitar, just another XLR. Problem solved by getting a 2 female, 1 male splitter so I can combine the guitar and vocal to my little Amp. which only has one XLR mic input. TC helicon should put a phono guitar out plug receptacle in the unit, just like the bigger units have.

  • TC Helicon Play Acoustic

Unit is of solid construction. I downloaded the latest software as soon as I received it. This way, you can set your guitar sounds individually on presets. It's a short learning curve and easy to tweak your own custom presets. This is a must if you want the proper blend for your own songs. The only thing I don't like is the mic level knob. It's on the side and very touchy. A piece of electric tape was necessary to keep from bumping it accidentally. Other than that, this is a killer tool for the modern solo acoustic performer!

  • Excellent value right out of the box

I have barely scratched the surface of what this pedal can do, but right out of the box it has already greatly improved the sound quality of both my vocals and guitar through my PA. Other than playing with some of the presets (LOVE the vocal harmonizer - will be using that one a lot), I really haven't had the time to "put it through it's paces". I know it's going to take some time and a bit of a learning curve to maximize its full potential, but even if I never use anything more than what I am using now, this pedal is definitely worth the price. In fact, I marvel at how many features TC-Helicon managed to pack into this one pedal. And I am sure if I bought all the pedals separately that do all this does, I would be well into the thousands of dollars. I don't know how I managed to get by without this product!

  • Sadly

Unfortunately this unit requires a mic to 1/4 cable between it and your amp to output your guitar...every other harmony box I have seen simply needs the 1/4 guitar cable...I somehow had that type of cable. But the resulting sound of my amplifier was worse than terrible. Made the unit basically useless to me.

  • Nice vocal harmonizer but a bit of a learning curve

Bought this for the voice harmonies but not so much the guitar effects (which are not that impressive- my guitar amp has better effects). The voice harmonies work pretty well but require practice to figure out how to best use them. The start up instructions that come with it are very basic. The online manual is not that better explaining the functions. The best instructions are found on various You Tube videos. Overall though, a fun addition to the music room equipment.
