The Yamaha RS R-S201 7.2 Channel 280 Watt Receiver is a great stereo receiver that is simple to use. It only includes the elements necessary for a high-quality music or video experience. With high output capabilities and a quality circuit design, the R-S201BL can deliver the performance you need. It sports a 100W x 2 high drive capacity with 8 ohms and 40 Hz - 20 kHz. This gives you a high sound quality composition that reduces the distance of signal routes and boosts the circuit layout. By placing the power transformer near the amp, power loss is decreased. Supply capacity is improved, allowing for high volume outputs. Because of the thoughtful positioning of the signal ground and supply ground, mutual interference is virtually eliminated. You get a higher S/N ratio, which results in sound brimming with crispness and freedom. This Yamaha receiver provides terminals for two systems so that you can connect two sets of speakers. The speaker selection option makes it a breeze to switch back and forth between outputs. Thus, you can hear the audio from one speaker system, known as A or B, or from both, known as A+B. One special feature in these accessories is the energy management function. These receivers automatically shut off the unit by swiping to standby mode when it hasn't been in use. The timer can be set to 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours, or it can simply be turned off. To save you even more energy, the energy consumption during the standby mode is only 0.5 W. Looking for a good receiver....
My old system finally wore out and I needed a good, reliable receiver that didn't cost a kings ransom. I did a lot of research, read reviews and decided to go with a company that I felt I could rely on, Yamaha. And it does not disappoint. I had it hooked up to components and running in no time. The sound quality is excellent and it has no trouble powering some great speakers. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles (less to go wrong) but it's exactly what I wanted. I would buy a 2nd

turn table will not play with this unit.
does not have a dedicated input for a turntable, so when you hook it up to one of the inputs the sound hardly comes through, jacks are under powered ( not amplified) for a turntable. real disappointment for me. don't push this amp to hard, I had mine kick off 2 times from overheating wile trying to dial in my speakers and E.Q, it's well ventilated on top of rack gets plenty of air, and I'm pushing a pair of American Acoustic Lab speakers with 15 inch subs rated at 225 watts. will swap for a comparable amp that can have a turn table connected. the amp does sound very good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great receiver for the money.
I have a small electronics business and this is my go to receiver for small simple installs. FM reception is above average and it has enough power to fill a large room or power patio speakers well. I have 27 in service and have not had any problems or complaints to this date. It is also one of the easiest units to operate as well.
