Still worth it.
It does a beautiful job of shredding, slicing and dicing. I am dissapointed with the size of the feed shoot. In the description it is claimed to have a large feed shoot but nearly everything needs to be cut down to fit. The photos on the box and in some of the adds are misleading at best because they show whole sliced tomatoes as if they were sliced by this processor attachment when it's obvious there is no way a whole tomato will fit in the feed shoot. I wish KitchenAid would have designed a larger dicing blade as well as the one that is included. Its a great tool and if used according to the instructions should last for a long time.
The engineers thought of everything from product design continuity to safety. the latter being important for new user that my not read the instructions. An example would be the blade placements, if they are not place according to specific instructions nothing will work. From a performance point of view...what can I say..it cuts as designed; cleans very easily..suggestion here; be careful handling the blades they are razor sharp;do not leave them out for the kids to wash..do it yourself..use a dish washer or just be careful when hand drying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Replaced my traditional food processor
Had used a traditional stand alone food processor for years but several months ago bough a Kitchenaid stand mixer and have purchased this processor attachment for it. Very happy with it and really like the fact I can select the thickness I want. Read that it will slice salami so going to try it this weekend. The unit is a bit heavy and the box the blades are kept in doesn’t,t lock but that is about the only negatives I see about this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I bought this food Processor attachment to replace the giant 13 cup kitchenaid food processor with 500 pieces As a way to save space. It works very well in as expected the only trade off being the size of the food shoot. It's good to know that this attachment S with all other kitchen aid stand mixer attachments also work with the Kenmore elite and Kenmore elite ovation stand mixers which I have Both. Fantastic Product
I bought this primarily or the dicing feature which other products do not have. The dicing feature is THE BOMB! I've used it for celery and onions, great time saver and no tearing up with the onions. There is a great reversible grater and julienne blade. Everything is dishwasher safe which I love and the storage case is fantastic. Great product but shipping time was way to long
The kitchen aide attachments are perfect and work wonderfully. No complain about the kitchen aide product. The sender took the product to a Walgreens drop off center where it sat for 4 days!!!! Before it ever got picked up and sent on its way! Causing it to take A LOT longer to get here then it should of! Saves a lot of time
My wife uses the dicing feature. We do a lot of canning and this requires a lot of food preparation. It is amazing how much time and energy this saves. We are very happy with it. A real time saver!
I was a little apprehensive about being this attachment. First of all, I bought it refurbished and was a little worried that it might not be too sturdy & something hard could get stuck in it & possibly ruin it. I read the manual & realized that if you follow it & use the recommended speeds for the type of food you will be cutting, you won't have too much of a risk of jamming something and breaking the attachment. I did have a carrot fall in sideways once & it got a little wedged in, but I stopped it, removed the carrot, then proceeded without a problem. I was also afraid that it would be hard to put together & take apart. Once I figured out how to do it (follow simple instructions), I was able to quickly put it together & take it apart. When I first used the dicing attachment, I looked at it & thought it would be difficult to clean, but when I realized I could use the pushing tool for the dicer & use a kitchen scrub brush, it wasn't too difficult. You just need to make sure you don't clean it on the sharp side or against the blade. I have a real fear of getting cut by sharp things, but I noticed that there are several safety features built into this attachment, so I'm not really worried. The small cube size isn't really a problem either. I actually prefer this size, because it suits more dishes and makes cooking faster. It would still be nice to have a dice that would be good for cutting potatoes for potato salad, but I'm not too disappointed & hope that one day, they'll offer that. It's also nice to be able to adjust the thickness of sliced items. With other food processors I had, you can slightly adjust the thickness of sliced foods by pushing the foods a little harder through the machines, but the slices were never really uniform & you risk damaging the machines this way. You don't need to push foods through this machine. It gently feeds the food through at the needed speed on it's own, depending on the selected thickness. I bought this because I'm very busy, but prefer to eat healthy food at home. My problem was that I would often spend hours cooking healthy meals from scratch, the way I prefer. If I didn't have the time to do that, I'd end up going to restaurants, with limited vegetarian options and often be served food that had too much fat, salt & sometimes questionable ingredients. Besides the high cost of eating out, the food often wasn't quite as good as homemade. Thanks to this attachment & the electric pressure cooker I bought, I'm able to cook good meals in less time than it would take me to get ready to go out, drive to a restaurant, wait on the food, eat & drive back home. It really is a time saver! I'm always amazed at how quickly I get through my food chopping chores. At first, I was a little concerned about the cost of this attachment, but soon realized that it pays for itself in the money I saved by not eating out so much. If you have a vegetable garden like I do, you'll be happy to have this. You can also quickly grate your own cheeses for better quality and savings. It's made well & is very sturdy. I absolutely love this addition to my Kitchen Aid mixer. I have dice potatoes many times before but this units eats them faster than i can put the in. Probably did 20 lbs in 8-10 minutes max. Cleaning is all in the dishwasher except the head attachment. With the shoot that goes on it you wipe it down and it is clean.
