I bought this game, because it's the sequel to inFamous and the first one was just awesome. I played it for about an hour and it seems too much like the first one. Of course I liked the gameplay and everything about the first, but I was hoping for something different. The story itsself seems to play really quick. It gets quick to the point and I'm already off saving the world. The animation is quite different from the first one. This is something that I would've liked to stay the same. The graphics seem cheesy and it looks like they had a different change in cast, because it looks so weird. So far into the game, I can't really say I like something about this game yet. I just look forward to unlocking some cool new powers or something that will keep me playing this game. I rated this game a 3/5, because it didn't reach my expectations and is average compared to the last one. Hopefully this game can keep me playing to where I can finish the story, because that's the only reason I'm playing it right now.Read full review
Compared to graphics of other PS3 games, this one fall short. The gameplay is OK but not addictive. It’s somewhat cumbersome to manipulate and I had a longer learning curve than any other game that I have tried.

I want to start by saying that I played and beat Infamous 1 and the game was awesome. Gameplay-wise Infamous2 is BETTER than the original in every way. Pros: The graphics in this game are awesome. The game has got a major 1080p face lift since the first Infamous. There are many destructible objects within the game, even some walls. The destructible environments are coupled with good physics. The game has many different kind of enemies with many different ways to dispatching them, and the controls are intuitive and precise. This makes the game truly a blast to play. Your character's (Cole) new powers including object levitation. You can lift a car and toss it at your enemies. You can also use electric whip for a quick lift up to the roof tops. The environments within the game are also more varied than they were in Infamous1, including a swamp, ships and factory (all the environments are connected within one large world allowing you to go back at any time). The boss battles in this game are truly breath taking. At one part you'll get to fight bosses as big as building. The gameplay in Infamous2 is extremely fun. Infamous2 is now one of my favorite PS3 games. Later in the game you can expend your powers by either mixing in flame or ice powers to your electric ones. You'll have to chose one or the other. This makes playing this game twice a must to see all your powers. Cons: The game's only weakness is the background story. It simply isn't as original as it was in the first Infamous. Bottom Line: Infamous2 is a pleasure to play. I am a huge fan of this game, it is the best action Platformer out there, period.Read full review
This game is one of my favorites. Love the size of the playing field. You find yourself reminiscing when you come back to a rail yard, ghetto, city park, where you've done battle. The effects for me are A+. When your using blasting type shield just to keep them off you while firing several other weapons at the same time running and climbing up buildings or jet pulsing through a graveyard or power sliding across power lines and railroad tracks and them pick up a car and power thrust it at the enemy or a monster. The couple of girl characters are awesome that tempt you towards good or evil. I LOVE THIS GAME!
i bought this item since i got the first one for free from PSN, liked the story and game play, and tough to get this one to continue the story, so far its very good, great graphics and gameplay. The almost half price compared to retail store prices made it even better... all entertainment companies should RELEARN the meaning of "Affordable product".. that is the real reason people buy used or get pirated ones
