Superb upgrade at a great price
Love the performance. Using Seagate's free software I cloned the old drive's 500gb onto this 1tb drive, swapped data cable onto this drive and immediately went back to work without a single glitch... Perfect replacement and the solid state is learning my usage and speeding up all tasks. The price amazed my friends, and they are planning to order drives for themselves.

The price is right for this SSHD. However it doesn't perform as advertised. It may be slightly faster then a standard HD but no where even remotely close to a Solid State Hard Drive. Only time will tell how reliable this drive is. It still produces heat like a conventional hard drive and you can hear it run. It is definitely quieter then a standard hard drive.

Great storage drive!
I got mine to store all of my documents, movies and music on and so far I have not been disappointed at all! Being a Hybrid drive, it keeps the files handy in the ssd part of the drive so if I wake up and want movies or tunes "BAM" there it is! Even if the data I want is stored on the disk part, the seek time is very fast and the drive itself is extremely quiet. If you have a large number of files to keep available in a flash, this drive is for you!
